If you take a look at successful people, you’ll notice that almost all of them had a mentor or someone to look up to in one way or another, and this helped them become better people and businessmen. It doesn’t matter what age you are, if you’re a freshman or if you’re already retiring, the truth is that having an inspiring mentor can be life-changing. Mentors, whether they’re successful in their careers, family life, personal life, or even socially, have gathered a great amount of knowledge and experience, and this is what makes them invaluable. This amount of experience and knowledge is unique and you can’t find it in books or in the vastness of the Internet! It seems extreme, but having a happy and successful life is impossible without great mentors or inspiring figures in our lives. If you’ve never had a mentor, take a moment and try to think of a time in your life where you looked up to and respected someone’s opinion above all others. They were your mentors, but you just didn’t realize. In fact, the first mentors we have are usually our parents, if they live up to their role, or close family members and teachers. The problem is that these mentors are only good for a certain period of our lives. When it comes to business, however, you need to find a business mentor. Someone who has gone through the struggles of building one’s own business and making it a successful one.
